We’ve been making films together since 2009, beginning with a series of poetic documentaries shot on mini-dv. Collaborating with a number of local filmmakers, our goal was to create observational poems about the local towns and streets we grew up in. This passion to just go out and create has stayed with us until this day. Whether our films have been funded by regional screen agencies, arts organisations, private investment or simply the pennies in our pockets, we’ve always striven to create cinematic films of a very high standard, films that are both artistic and entertaining.
Our Ethos
It’s been a tough journey over the last decade, but regardless of the lack of opportunities or competition for limited finance, we’ve been determined to never let anything stop us from telling the stories that are important to us. Our strength is in our resourcefulness. We take on most production roles between the two of us and work with a very small crew. Over the years we’ve been lucky enough to work with some of the most talented creatives in the region, who have always been able to help us bring our films to life. It’s the commitment of this close-knit collective of talented individuals that has enabled us to keep making films, even when no one else would fund us or believe in our vision.
